Missed the action as we were on Shepard Road - stopped by a group that was blocking eastbound traffic. We then got on I94 East hoping to get off on 7th St Ramp. Protesters were blocking that exit. We then went to Mounds Blvd and came back on East 7th. We parked near 4th and Wacouta and started walking westward.
Got to Sibley and 6th where the anarchists were overturning bus benches, newspaper stands and threw large tacks into the intersection to rip up car tires. Police in riot gear all along the path.
Unfortunately, destruction of private property was done. Macy's lost several windows on the corner of 6th and Wabasha. My guess is 5,000 - 10,000 people took part in the march.
Only media sighting for us was Mark Shields from PBS.
And tear gas was used on many young people in a secondary protest.

Darn left-wing liberal extremists. They ruin everything. Including our nice little downtown. I wonder what they would do to the white house? Oh wait, we saw that with Clinton...quite disgusting.
